From the faculty's own intranet, the PC pools and their support, databases and applications under their own responsibility to concepts for software distribution. |

Specifically, these are all Bachelor's students in the Faculty and all Master's students in the Departments of Business Information Systems and Industrial Engineering and Management. April 2012 | Ms. Kosbab takes over the secretariat. In personal union with the chair of Prof. Hilbert, the secretariat of the computer science laboratory is now staffed full-time again. |

September 2011 | The semester break before the winter semester 2012/13 was used to upgrade the pool in the former Senate Hall (SCH A200a). By analyzing various test positions, particularly quiet components were procured so that it is possible to work comfortably in what is probably the largest single pool at TU Dresden with 51 seats. A projector control system was also installed in this room so that all five faculty pools now have standardized access to the data projectors. |
April 2011 | Datastream Advance has been installed in all PC pools of the computer science lab for a few days now. Software distribution was previously limited to PC pool A253. |
January 2011 | In the last few days, the ticket system OTRS (Open source Ticket Request System) has been installed on the servers of the Informatics Lab. This is a type of software that handles the receipt, confirmation, classification and processing of customer inquiries (known as tickets). Inquiries can now be sent to the IT lab via the e-mail address or conveniently via the form mailer. Pool registration is also possible via the ticket system here. |

August 2010 | Data projectors (beamers) are now permanently installed in all four large PC pools. The projectors are connected to the respective teacher PCs. The stationary projectors are switched on and off via the control module in the cable duct directly next to the teacher PC (with the exception of SCH A200a, where the projector can be operated directly). After switching on, the projection can be switched on in Windows under Start -> Connection to a projector -> Double. At the end of use, please switch the projector off again using the OFF button on the control module. It is no longer necessary to reserve or borrow the projectors for the SCH A200a, A200b, B247 and B250 pools. |

January 2007 | The TUD-wide WLAN is now available at sixteen faculty locations in the Schumannbau and Hülssebau. Registration is no longer necessary. The login is done via the access which is requested via a website when the browser is called up for the first time. Alternatively, the faculty's internal network is available in the WLAN center until further notice. |

To use the software, you must log on to the computer as a new user: BWL, password bwl (lower case!). All products are then available as icons. After starting, the learner: BWL must be entered. The password is: bwlbwl . For bookkeeping and cost accounting the password must remain empty (press Enter). |

August 2005 | The provision of additional funds to improve the working conditions in the student PC pools made it possible to provide a card reader with front USB ports for all computers. This means that, in addition to USB sticks, SM, SD, CF I/II, MircoDrive, MMC, RS-MMS, Memory Stick/ Pro/ Duo (with adapter), SD, SMC, XD and other card formats can now be read and written at all workstations. Audio connections are also provided on the front. Only the Firewire interface is not functional. As a further measure, the A200b pool is equipped with new tables and new data cabling. |
April 2005 | The faculty's WLAN center has been fully equipped since the 2005 summer semester. Among other things, there are 16 emergency book workstations with power supply available to all students in the area of the Schumann Building B247 / B250.
