Office Doctoral Board will be closed
The Doctoral Board office will be closed from April 30 to May 04 and from May 29 to June 12, 2026. Applications for admission as a doctoral candidate may be submitted during this period by placing them in the "Promotionsausschuss" mailbox in front of the Dean’s Office. Applications to initiate the doctoral process cannot be accepted during this period. Please schedule an appointment to submit your application before or after this time.

In the case of a cumulative dissertation, the declaration of authorship must be included in the dissertation. You can find a template of what this declaration can look like here as a guide.

Proof of certificates of achievement
The doctoral regulations PromO 2018 stipulate that successful participation in two interdisciplinary doctoral courses and two method-oriented doctoral courses must be proven for the opening of the doctoral procedure. Please note the information on obtaining certificates of achievement.
