Dates and Announcements
Secretary of the Doctoral Board is on Vacation: September 7–11, 2026. During this time, no applications for admission as a doctoral candidate or requests to initiate the doctoral process will be accepted.

In the case of a cumulative dissertation, the declaration of authorship must be included in the dissertation. You can find a template of what this declaration can look like here as a guide.

Guidelines on the Use of AI in Doctoral Research and Declaration of Independent Authoring of the Dissertation
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in doctoral research projects is generally permissible, but is subject to the principles of good scientific practice and the Declaration of Independent Authoring must be completed and included in every copy of the dissertation.
Proof of certificates of achievement
The doctoral regulations PromO 2018 stipulate that successful participation in two interdisciplinary doctoral courses and two method-oriented doctoral courses must be proven for the opening of the doctoral procedure. Please note the information on obtaining certificates of achievement.
