Academic day at the "Glückauf" grammar school in Dippoldiswalde

Glückauf-Gymnasium in Dippoldiswalde is one of TU Dresden's partner schools and today hosted an "Academic Day" for year 11 students.

Prof. Dr. Patrick Zschech (Chair of Business Information Systems, in particular Intelligent Systems and Services) gave a 90-minute presentation for the faculty, first introducing the 25 students to the courses offered by the faculty and then providing an insight into the topic of "Machine Learning for Business Applications".

From ChatGPT to image recognition and robotics - the young people learned how modern AI works, where it is already being used today and what opportunities it offers for research, education, social sciences and sustainability management. It became clear that AI is not just technology - it is changing our society, working world and future.
