Guest Lecture by Daniel Bock (Co-Founder and CTO of Morpheus Space) on June 29, 2026
On June 29, we are pleased to welcome Daniel Bock, co-founder and CTO of Morpheus Space, as a guest speaker in our “Space Economics” lecture. Mr. Bock will provide us with practical insights into the founding and development of his company. In particular, he will discuss the financing of deep-tech ventures using Morpheus Space as an example.
Mr. Bock is an alumnus of TU Dresden, where, among other roles, he held an assistant professorship in the field of electric space propulsion. Fittingly, in 2018 he co-founded Morpheus Space with Christian Boy, Philipp Laufer, and Christian Schunk; the company develops and manufactures electric propulsion systems for satellites.
According to the company, Morpheus Space raised approximately USD 28 million in venture capital in 2022 and now has a track record spanning several years of flight-proven hardware successfully deployed in space. We thank Mr. Bock for taking the time to introduce Morpheus Space to us as an example of a Dresden success story.
Students from other bachelor’s and master’s courses in our faculty are also warmly welcome!
