Business and Economics goes Robotics
Robotics and AI on the one hand, financial advice and bank branch management on the other. The team led by Professor Lars Hornuf from the Chair of Business Administration, esp. Finance and Financial Technology has been investigating how AI and financial advice interact for some time and is now receiving support from a robot.
"Our robot has finally arrived and we can hardly wait to start a series of innovative research and teaching projects with it," says Lars Hornuf. Among other things, the research projects will examine the question of how customer advice can be improved through the technical support of a humanoid robot and what potential arises from the interaction of robot technology with AI tools such as GPT-4. In teaching, a WPA project is planned for the coming summer semester in cooperation with Ostsächsische Sparkasse in Dresden. "Here, for example, we are interested in how customer problems such as a blocked online access can be solved quickly and multilingually at the branch, even without an appointment," explains Lars Hornuf.
For the new team member the Chair of Business Administration, esp. Finance and Financial Technology is still looking for a suitable name. Name suggestions can be submitted by email to until March 1, 2024. The winner will receive a hoodie from the current TUD University of Technology merch.
