On Teaching Day on 17 November 2023, this year's teaching awards of the Association of Friends and Sponsors of TU Dresden e. V. (GFF) were presented by the Vice-Rector Academiv Affairs Professor Michael Kobel and the Managing Director Dr. Undine Krätzig.
This year's GFF 2023 Teaching Award was looking for teaching and learning concepts that deal with the topics of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or AI-supported language models from different perspectives or use them didactically in teaching, learning or research scenarios.
Among the award winners are Prof. Dr. Alfred Benedikt Brendel, Ricardo Andres Rubiano Cruz and Martin Böhme from the Chair of Business Information Systems, in particular Intelligent Systems and Services. They were nominated by students for the lecture and exercise "Data Science: Advanced Analytics". The module offers a comprehensive introduction to the world of machine learning and AI.
