Sabrina Schmidt is pursuing her PhD and teaches at TUD. Her research focuses on incumbent firm behavior in sustainability transitions, the diffusion of sustainable organizational characteristics and innovations, institutional change and the transformation of agri-food systems. She is a Fellow at the Institute for Ecological Economy Research (IÖW) in Berlin, where she previously worked as a researcher for several years. Prior to that, she studied Psychology and Management & Organization Studies at Chemnitz University of Technology.

Emma Lloyd works as a research assistant at the Technical University of Dresden as part of the SeND project and is pursuing her PhD. Her research focuses on the sustainable design of supply and value chains, as well as the impact of digitalization on sustainability. The focus here is on the opportunities and challenges of digital technologies on the ecological, social and economic dimensions of sustainability. Previously, she studied economics at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität and business management at the Macromedia University of Applied Sciences in Munich, after which she worked in retail operations.

Dr. Ilka Weissbrod has been working with and at the junior professorship since May 2022, as Postdoc and Research Partner. Her research interests lie in the area of learning for sustainable innovation processes, especially business experimentation for sustainability. Usually this is linked to the operationalization of a circular economy in the innovation processes of companies. Dr. Weissbrod has substantial work experience in Great Britain and Europe and, in 2017, received her doctorate from Imperial College London on the subject of 'Business Experimentation for Sustainability'. After her PhD she worked as a postdoc at the Leuphana University Lüneburg.

Varun Bharadwaj Gurugubelli is currently doing his doctorate at the Junior Professorship for Sustainability Assessment and Policy. He is working on the sub-project TP F5: Entrepreneurial Impacts on Sustainability in the H2 Economy and actively contributes to sustainability assessment as a research assistant. Varun successfully completed his studies with a Master in Sustainable Systems Engineering at the University of Freiburg in April 2023. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Madras/India, and subsequently gained three years of experience as a product development engineer in the tire industry. During his master's degree, he worked as a student assistant at both the University of Freiburg and the Fraunhofer Institute.

Claudelle is part of the Joint PhD Programme of UNU-FLORES and TU Dresden. She has over 15 years of expertise in sustainable agriculture and climate resilience, focusing on strengthening agri-food systems in Latin America and the Caribbean. She has led climate adaptation projects for small sugar cane producers, and conducted multi-country climate vulnerability assessments in the Caribbean. In her nominated best master’s thesis, Claudelle piloted resilience measurement in Caribbean small island developing states, and later expanded her research as a consultant with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture. As an FAO Nutrition Assessment Consultant, she developed an approach to assess nutrition among school-aged children, later extending the study to southern Belize’s banana regions, with the Government of Belize and Fyffes. She is multi-lingual and advocates for inclusion of all people. Claudelle's doctoral research centres on Resource Nexus pathways to resilience and transformative change in agri-food systems in Latin America.

Tina is currently studying for a master's degree in business administration at the Technical University of Dresden. In addition to supporting the junior professorship, she also works in the area of technology transfer at the Helmholtz Center Dresden Rossendorf. She earned her bachelor's degree in intercultural business administration at the Philipps University of Marburg with a focus on information and innovation management.

Magdalena Müller holds an M.A. in Global Supply Chain and Operations Management, building on her B.Sc. in Textile/Clothing Engineering. She also holds a diploma in fine arts. She has professional experience in supply chain management, working as a project assistant in research projects on sustainable and circular textile value chains and as a research assistant in applied value chain analysis/consulting. She has been pursuing her doctorate part-time at the chair since 2025 and is researching the role of supply chains for global sustainable development, particularly the impact of the legal anchoring of global due diligence and accountability on supply chain management.
