Home Health Station
The Healthy Living Competence Team (HELICT) research group is intensively engaged in the evaluation of eHealth solutions and the design of open systems. Among other things, a method for the evaluation and certification of eHealth platforms and associated solutions has been developed within the project "CCS Telehealth East Saxony", addressing questions of extensibility and interoperability of eHealth solutions. Furthermore, WISE acted as a neutral evaluation authority for technical-organizational issues in the Telehealth project. The chair represents TU Dresden as a corporate member of the European Health Telematics Association (EHTEL).
In the project Home Health Station (work package 6) the central task of HELICT is to create a set of instruments for the evaluation of e-health solutions. The activity is focused on the analysis of the evaluation dimension of eHealth and the integration of the Saxon evaluation landscape into European projects. The evaluation instruments can be used by Saxon eHealth and telemedicine projects as a uniform evaluation tool for forecasting and investigating the sustainability and future viability of solutions. This contributes significantly to a targeted and comprehensive further development of telemedical and other health-related IT applications.
On the basis of established approaches and instruments such as MAST (Model for assessment of telemedicine) and the evaluation principles for telemedicine developed within the CCS Telehealth East Saxony project, a regional set of indicators will be developed or adapted to take account of regional conditions (e.g. gematik infrastructure, or Electronic Case Record (ECR) conformity). The operational part of the work package includes the introduction and testing of a web-tool, so that in the future a standard for the evaluation of telemedical projects will be available, which considers the specifics of Central German regions (especially Saxony). Linked to this is the connection of Saxony to existing EU projects (e.g. ACT@Scale, Scirocco, EHTEL Innovation Initiative), which involves the exchange of best practice and the creation of methodological competence - and thus supports the spread of telemedicine applications for the care of chronically ill people. The work package is processed in close cooperation between WISE and ZEGV.
