Digital Work Research Group
The Digital Work Research Group (DWRG) is a recently established interdisciplinary research team, investigating the digitalization of the workplace. In particular, the digitalization of business models of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the exploration of the individual in crowdsourcing are central research topics of the group. Headed by Sascha Lichtenberg, the DWRG provides a competence center for the development of innovative solutions for the digitalization of business models and work processes. For their research, the DWRG cooperates with various partners from business, politics and science. One example of the research activities of the research group is the recently launched "How to Survive a Crisis: Understanding how Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Adapted their Business Models to be Resilient during the COVID-19 Pandemic" project, funded by the VolkswagenStiftung. The project is in cooperation with the Chair of Information Management at the University of Goettingen and the Chair of Business Information Systems, esp. Information Systems in Trade and Industry at the TU Dresden.
