Cloud Adoption
In the area of cloud computing we mainly focus on cloud adoption decisions by looking at several stages (pre- vs. post-adoption), different units of adoption (provider vs. technology or system), different levels of adoption (individual, team, organization), different adopter sizes (small vs. larger organizations), different delivery models (Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), or Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS)) as well as deployment types (public, hybrid, private, community clouds). In our empirical as well as our design oriented research in this field we try to be as precise as possible which of these settings we look at and in cases where we encompass several we try to explicitly take these differentiations into account.
