Research paper and presentation at AMCIS 2022 in Minneapolis
The annual Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS) brings together researchers from North America and – increasingly – from around the world, to present and discuss latest research in the field of information systems. This year’s conference follows the theme Innovative Research Informing Practice and will be hosted in Minneapolis, MN, from August 10 to 14, 2022.
At the AMCIS 2022 our chair will present one paper by doctoral candidate Tobias Bitzer in the Mini-Track Social, Ethical, & Practical Impacts of AI for Organizations and Individuals.
The comparative case study is part of our chair’s research on algorithmic transparency and addresses the question how and why companies disclose information on algorithms. In addition to enriching extant theory on the antecedents of algorithmic transparency, the study is also of high relevance for practitioners as it provides concrete examples how companies can disclose information on algorithms depending on the specific context:
