Chair of Wirtschaftsin­formatik – Information Management

The professorship is active in teaching, research and knowledge transfer at the interfaces between economic, organizational, social, information technology and didactic questions. The focus is on support of

• complex university and company learning environments through suitable e-learning arrangements as well as
• knowledge-oriented teamwork through collaborative social software systems.

Information management is thus understood as

• as problem-oriented identification, preparation and provision of information in application systems
• with the aim of optimally automating individual and organizational actions and decisions, and to rationalize and improve business processes as well as the related information and communication processes.

This is provided by a high-performance team of scientific and student employees with a background in business informatics and economic education.
