Profile of the chair
Since 01.01.2024, Junior Professor Dr Jacqueline Schmidt has held the newly created Junior Professorship for Business Education, in particular Digitalisation in Educational and Working Environments.
Jacqueline Schmidt studied Business Education at the University of Leipzig, where she also completed her doctorate. She successfully completed her dissertation entitled "The basic knowledge of artificial intelligence of (prospective) teachers in the vocational education sector - model-based test development and validation" in September 2023.
Research focus of the junior professorship:
Artificial intelligence in the vocational education sector
Modelling and recording AI-related skills
Development, implementation and evaluation of digital teaching and learning environments
The junior professorship's courses are primarily located in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in Business Education and include questions of vocational education in the context of digitalisation-related transformation processes. In line with the traditional polyvalence of the subject area, the specifics of school and company training and further education are addressed.
