CIDS is opening its doors at various locations for Dresden’s Long Night of Science and presents a selection of its research and areas of work. Our teams on site look forward to engaging with you and sharing an inspiring night of science.
Our departments CODIP, DST and SynoSys invite visitors on an interactive journey into the world of complex systems and digital technologies through hands-on exhibits, workshops and experiments. Discover at the heart of the city how robots work and program the movements of a robotic arm yourself. Explore complex dynamics ranging from social media algorithms to water kefir networks. The COSMO Science Forum and the foyer of the Kulturpalst offer a variety of interactive activities, exhibitions and opportunities to engage with our researchers.

At the Living Lab of ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig, located on the TU Dresden campus, you can explore the fascinating world of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Various demonstrators provide insights into cutting-edge technologies such as machine learning, image recognition, large language models, virtual reality (VR), and more – with plenty of opportunities for hands-on interaction and dialogue.

The ZIH invites you to take part in guided tours through the LZR data center on Nöthnitzer Straße – the IT heart of TU Dresden. Every 30 minutes, you can gain exciting insights into the university’s high-performance IT infrastructure: supercomputers, storage systems, and the complex technical backbone that keeps everything running.
