Center for Molecular and Cellular Bioengineering (CMCB)
The Center for Molecular and Cellular Bioengineering (CMCB) was established in 2016 as an umbrella organization for the three institutions B CUBE, BIOTEC, and CRTD. These scientifically independent operating institutes work together under the CMCB roof, above all with regard to their strategic development within the university and link teaching, administration, scientific infrastructure and services. The institutes of the CMCB attach great importance to interdisciplinarity, innovation and internationality. They have a lasting influence on the research profile line "Health Sciences, Biomedicine and Bioengineering" of the TU Dresden and have a decisive influence on the activities of the university in the excellence strategy of the federal and state governments.
Center for Regenerative Therapies (CRTD)
The CRTD with its research focus is at the interface between biological basic research and clinical application. This is also reflected in the administrative assignment of the CRTD research groups. The CRTD is managed dual, partly by the TU Dresden and partly by the Faculty of Medicine Carl Gustav Carus.
