B CUBE hosts the 4th Scientific Advisory Board meeting
On Friday, September 25, the B CUBE Scientific Advisory Board met for the 4th time, and the 1st time in virtual space because of the COVID-19 pandemic, to review the scientific performance and the future strategy of B CUBE.
The Scientific Advisory Board was updated on the ongoing and the future research of the seven research groups at B CUBE and paid special attention to the structural development plans and the future research profile of the institute. The meeting took place online due to the current COVID-19 regulations. Prof. Peter Fratzl (Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces) acts chaired the Scientific Advisory Board together with Prof. Tanja Weil (Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research). Dr. Sonja Siart joined the meeting as a representative of the Projektträger Jülich (BMBF). The Scientific Advisory Board was impressed with the scientific output of B CUBE over the past years and stimulated important discussions about the future strategic development.
The mission of the Scientific Advisory Board is to provide visionary guidance for the development of the research center and to critically assess its scientific performance. The members of the Scientific Advisory Board typically meet every two years and are in regular contact with the management of B CUBE in order to provide advice on the thematic and structural topics.
