Prof. Michael Schlierf is new B CUBE director
Prof. Michael Schlierf is the new director of B CUBE - Center for Molecular Bioengineering at TU Dresden. He succeeded Prof. Yixin Zhang, who has been director of the institute since 2018.
Michael Schlierf holds the Chair for Molecular Biophysics at TU Dresden since 2017 and is a group leader at B CUBE since 2010. He focusses his research on conformational dynamics of biomolecules and teaches within the TU Dresden master´s courses "Molecular Bioengineering", "Nanobiophysics" and “Biochemistry”.
“B CUBE is a unique place for bioengineering, jointly formed by researchers, students, technicians, admins, the B CUBE hosted facilities, the Dresden International Graduate School for Biomedicine and Bioengineering (DIGS-BB) and all group leaders. I am looking forward to serve as B CUBE director and support and shape its scientific footprint. Many thanks to my colleague Prof. Yixin Zhang who moved B CUBE to the next level in our new cutting-edge research building in the years 2018 and 2019”, says Prof. Michael Schlierf.
