Mounted on an inverted microskope (Nikon Eclipse Ti-E/B) with image taking via an interline CCD camera (Andor Clara).

A work station with e-phys specific software is available for data handling.
Currently, we provide a total of six shelves in two incubators (HeraCell 150i).
Standard settings: 37°C, 5% CO2.
Diverging settings can be arranged.
Optional with orbital shaking plate.
In addition, we can provide incubation in a compact table top CO2 incubator (Midi40).
For microbiological work including all standard plastic ware and instruments.
For generating fresh tissue slices a sequentially ordered set of equipment, including consumables, is available:
Induction boxes (ambient air)
Peristaltic pump for transcardiac perfusion
Dissection place for organ removal and blocking
Vibration microtome for tissue slicing
Warm water bath for slice incubation
Supply of carbogen at all sections.
For generating artificial cerebrospinal fluids and other soultions a fine scale, osmometer and pH meter (Seven Compact by Mettler Toledo) with a semi-micro electrode is available.
The work station for surface treatments of the recording arrays (cleaning, hydrophilization) includes, amongst others, a plasma cleaner and UV curer. The plasma cleaner is in the process of establishment and will be operated with pure oxygen.
A work station with soldering iron, UV curing light and further fine mechanical and electrotechnical equipment is available.
