Mass Spectrometry & Proteomics
The Core Facility -Mass Spectrometry & Proteomics- provides consultation, support and services for bioanalytical mass spectrometry.
The focus of our work is on Quantitative Proteomics and Protein/Peptide analysis and comprises identification and quantification of proteins, analysis of protein post-transcriptional modifications.
Moreover, we use mass spectrometry for biological assays, e.g. protein kinase activity, and address the analysis and structural characterization of other biomolecules.
We also provide access to different tools for biological assays and sample preparation devices, e.g. cell lysis and disruption of cells and tissues.
Please get in touch with us prior to preparing samples for mass spectrometry or if you have any questions on the analysis of biomolecules.
Within the MS Community Dresden we welcome joint projects to explore the Multi-Omics Universe - For more Information on the MScDD and Multi-Omics possibilities please follow the links below.
Welcome
Mass spectrometry is a key technology in life science research. Facilitating research by providing access, service and support for state-of-art mass spectrometry is our aim. We offer support and services in the field of biological mass spectrometry with a focus on quantitative proteomics and protein & peptide analysis. In addition we provide access to a scientific equipment for sample preparation and automation.
We are continuously expanding the range of available applications and services.
Services comprise:
- protein identification (e.g. in-gel digest)
- intact protein mass determination
- quality control for recombinant proteins
- identification of protein post-translational modifications (qualitative)
For Quantitative Proteomic Analysis of
- co-immunoprecipitation experiments
- post-translational modifications
- organelles, cells and tissues or secretomes
