Abstract Submission

Until 12.05.2024 we invite everyone to submit abstracts for research or project contributions for this year's GeNeMe. The abstracts should address the main topics as well as provide an outlook on the content of the contribution. We ask you to present your topic briefly in 3.000 characters. In addition, you may add two to three informative figures to your abstract.

Submission system

This year we are using the conference system ConfTool for the submission of the contributions https://www.conftool.net/geneme2024.
To do so, the following steps must be followed:

• create user profile
• log in to the system
• enter abstract

Creating a new account

By clicking on the link https://www.conftool.net/geneme2024 you will be directed to the conference management system page and guided through the individual steps of the submission process. All information is provided in German and English language. 

If you are accessing the website for the first time you must register once. To do so, click on "register and submit". You will then be redirected to a form field where you can fill in your personal data. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are obligatory. You can extend and complete your profile information later. After successfully submitting the form, you will receive a confirmation of the successful registration and your login details by mail. 

Submission of abstract 

After you have logged into the system with your login details, you can enter your abstract into the system by clicking the link "your submissions". You enter all information about your abstract directly in the system. We ask you to select the abstract template for the appropriate submission format of your contribution in advance. A distinction is made between the formats research contribution and project contribution. There are no differences in the submission process of the abstracts, though. The maximum number of characters is set up in the form. We also ask you to select the tracks (topics) in which you would like to submit your contribution. You may select more than one.

Please also indicate the co-authors of the abstract, so that they can be informed about all further steps concerning the submission. During the review process, the author details will stay hidden.

You have the possibility to revise and extend your submission until the deadline. You will get an overview of the submissions and their details via the link "your submissions".
