Options for qualification
Course instructors have various options for qualifying their work:
- Qualification and continuing education options in the respective sport can be inquired from the sport managers or via the regional associations.
- Each winter semester, the educational organization of the Saxon sports federation in cooperation with the State conference of university sports in Saxony (LHS) offers a cross-sport "Basic course for sports instructors in university sports". This course is suitable in particular for new course instructors or course instructors without a license in all student sports programs. Contents include the basics of training theory, sports biology and the structure of a training session.

Training courses, advanced training etc. can be financially supported by the DHSZ with 50% and a maximum of 300 EUR per year after consultation with the sport manager. The training must qualify the instructor for the sport in which they work at the DHSZ.
For the settlement of the continuing education, the course instructor training settlement document as well as the reimbursement form must be completed and submitted together with
- Announcement
- Confirmation of participation and
- Confirmation of payment (invoice or receipt with stamp and signature) or copy of bank statement
in a timely manner, but no later than 20 days after the training has taken place, to the sport manager.
