Clean Energy Transition Partnership – Call and Launch Event
The Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETPartnership) is part of the European Partnerships under Horizon Europe. Within the partnership, more than 50 partners from 30 countries (including the Free State of Saxony with its science ministry) cooperate with the aim of supporting and accelerating the energy transition through research, technological development and innovation.
The first calls for proposals of the new CETPartnership will open on September 14th, 2022.
The partnership is based on previous, long-standing cooperation in several ERA networks related to the energy sector. National budgets of 210 million Euros will be exploited for two joint calls in 2022 and 2023 to implement the partnership's activities along the following Transition Initiatives (TRIs):
- TRI 1: Integrated Net-zero-emissions Energy System
- TRI 2: Enhanced zero emission Power Technologies
- TRI 3: Enabling Climate Neutrality with Storage Technologies, Renewable Fuels, Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) / Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS)
- TRI 4: Efficient zero emission Heating and Cooling Solutions
- TRI 5: Integrated Regional Energy Systems
- TRI 6: Integrated Industrial Energy Systems
- TRI 7: Integration in the Built Environment
Each of the TRI develops specific topics, which are implemented based on 1-2 so-called "Call Modules".
Short applications can be submitted until November 23rd, 2022, and the submission deadline for the subsequent full proposals will be on March 20th, 2023.
The launch event for the first call is planned for September 13th, 2022. Information to the online event and registration is available on the CETPartnership website.
