In November, online introductions to the research funding database Research Connect took place, in which about 180 members of TU Dresden participated. Web-based databases in which information on calls for proposals from regional to international funding organisations is collected and specifically processed are indispensable for strategic research funding. Research Connect enables the following services for researchers:

• Provision of information on funding bodies, funding requirements, funding amounts, contact persons and details of successful funding, if publicly available
• Specific filter settings and storage of individual searches
• Creation of topic-specific and/or funding body-specific newsletters and reports
• Freely editable reminder function for call deadlines and new funding possibilities for own research fields
