On December 1^st, 2022, the European Commission launched a broad public consultation on the past, present and future of the EU Framework Programmes for Research and Innovation (Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe) in 2014-2027.

The consultation includes three main key elements:

• final evaluation of Horizon 2020 (2014-2020),
• interim evaluation of Horizon Europe (2021-2027) and
• design of the second Horizon Europe Strategic Plan (2025-2027).

All interested individuals and institutions are invited to express their views on the positive aspects and shortcomings of Horizon 2020 and the implementation of Horizon Europe so far, and to help shape the strategic directions and priorities for the Horizon Europe Strategic Plan for 2025-2027. It is also possible to provide feedback only on individual parts of the survey.

The consultation is open until February 23^rd, 2023, and is conducted through a questionnaire whose questions are available in English, German and French. Participants can answer in all EU languages. It takes around 35 minutes to answer the questions, and more comprehensive position papers on individual elements can also be submitted. An EU login account is required.
