Interreg Program Saxony-Czech Republic 2021-2027

Good news for the Saxony-Czech Republic border region: on July 28, 2022, the European Commission approved the Interreg cross-border cooperation program between the Free State of Saxony and the Czech Republic for the funding period 2021-2027.

Interreg SN-CZ is an European Union funded programme to support cross-border cooperation projects between organisations in Saxony and Czech on topics including natural and cultural heritage, climate change, regional mobility, cross-border education, and collaborative partnerships.

Funding is provided for projects which bring together partners from both the federal state of Saxony and Czech. To be eligible for funding, projects must include at least one partner which meets the following criteria:

Administrative bodies and public authorities on the level of the federal state, regional or local government.
Legal entities of public or private law dedicated to non-commercial activities, funded mainly through public funding sources and subject to oversight by public bodies.
Non-public non-profit organisations, associations as well as economic and social partnership organisations.
Small and medium-sized businesses (SME)

The field of action of the project must be focussed on the border regions as detailed on the programme website. Only projects which include at least one partner from Saxony and one partner from Czech are eligible for funding.
