NETWORK STUDIO Urban Mobility unites EUTOPIA Universities in Brussels
On October 23-24, 2024, the second international NETWORK STUDIO, jointly initiated by Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and TU Dresden, took place in Brussels. Building on the success of the first meeting in Dresden on “Clinical AI,” the collaboration expanded to include the University of Warwick. More than 20 leading researchers from the three universities gathered over these two days to develop innovative approaches to urban mobility and establish new partnerships.
The NETWORK STUDIO kicked off at the residence of British Ambassador Anne Sherriff, who, together with VUB and TU Dresden, opened the event. The newly appointed Ambassador delivered her first official address in her new role, underscoring the importance of strong European cooperation for sustainable mobility.
On the second day, participants gathered at VUB’s Etterbeek campus for visits to the MOBI Electromobility Research Centre and the ALGC chemistry lab, offering hands-on insights into current research and innovative technologies.
For TU Dresden, the NETWORK STUDIO is evolving into an essential component of international collaboration. The insights and connections gained in Brussels provide a solid foundation for deepening cooperation with EUTOPIA partners and launching new research projects in urban mobility. Future NETWORK STUDIOS will continue to build on this momentum, enriching scientific exchange within the EUTOPIA-Alliance.
