New European Bauhaus Prizes 2023!
beautiful | sustainable | together
For the third time, the European Commission has offered prizes for the "New European Bauhaus". The prizes will recognize and celebrate existing beautiful, sustainable, and inclusive achievements and support the younger generation to further develop emerging concepts and ideas.
There are three parallel competition strands:
- New European Bauhaus Champions for existing completed projects
- New European Bauhaus Rising Stars for ideas by young talents aged 30 or less
- New European Bauhaus Education Champions” for initiatives focusing on education and learning.
The prizes will be awarded in four different categories that reflect the thematic axes of transformation identified during the New European Bauhaus’ co-design phase and are inspired by the views and experiences of thousands of EU citizens and organisations:
- Reconnecting with nature
- Regaining a sense of belonging
- Prioritising the places and people that need it the most
- Shaping a circular industrial ecosystem and supporting life-cycle thinking
A total of 15 prizes are being offered, each with funding of between 10,000 and 30,000 Euros. Individuals and institutions are eligible to apply; joint applications are also possible.
The deadline for submissions is on January 31st, 2023 at 19:00 CET. The NEB Awards 2023 are open to applications from EU Member States as well as the Western Balkans.
The NEB is a creative, interdisciplinary initiative with the goal of connecting the European Green Deal with our living spaces and experiences.
