The Saxon State Ministry of Social Affairs and Social Cohesion (SMS) has published a call for expressions of interest in the funding of a social innovation platform. Project proposals for the two-phase selection process can be submitted to the Sächsische Aufbaubank (SAB) until December 15^th. Collaboration is possible in the form of joint applications. 

The goal of the innovation platform is to promote the independently organized exchange of ideas and coordination across Saxony, which includes identifying, developing, supporting and raising awareness of social innovations with suitable measures. The main focus is on innovative approaches in social work.

The SMS and the SAB will jointly host a virtual information event on October 27^th. Anyone who wishes to attend is kindly asked to register via the Bürgerbeteiligungsportal (citizens’ participation portal) by October 24^th: https://buergerbeteiligung.sachsen.de/portal/sms/beteiligung/themen/1031608.

Funding is planned from March 1^st, 2023, to December 31^st, 2025.

In the case of a favorable evaluation, the funding period may be extended until December 31^th, 2028, if budgetary resources suffice. The funding rate is 95 percent.

How to apply

We will update our website soon to include binding detailed information on the requirements for funding and on how to apply.

Project proposals must be submitted via the European Project Center. Proposals can be sent to SAB for approval. The approval process involves multiple steps.
