The ERA-NET Sustainable Animal Production (SusAn) has launched the first call for transnational research proposals on January 04, 2016. Deadline for submission of pre-proposals is March 29, 2016.

Shift2Rail, the Joint Undertaking backed by the European Commission and the rail industry, has published its first calls for proposals, endowed with €170 million to support innovation in railways. The deadline for submission of proposals is March 17, 2016.

The European Commission has published the 2016 Call for Proposals for "Innovative Training Networks" (ITNs) under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. The next call deadline is January 12, 2016. (NB: There will be only one deadline in 2016.)

The EPC is organising an information event on January 14, 2016 on the ESF Directive "Technology Funding 2014 - 2020", funding areas "InnoTeam" (junior research grous with SME participation) and "Transfer Assistant". An external speaker from the Sächsische Aufbaubank - Förderbank (SAB) will participate.

Innovative Medicines Initiative 2 (IMI2) has published indicative topics for the future calls.The Calls for proposals are to be launched in late 2015 and early 2016.

ERA-IB-2 launches, in cooperation with ERASynBio and ERA-MBT, a seventh international joint call for multilateral research projects using Industrial Biotechnology (IB). The deadline for submitting proposals is 1 February 2016 (13:00 CET).

In order to comply with the TUD-internal pre-evaluation and prioritization procedure, applications for ESF Junior Research Groups with a planned starting date in 2016 have to submit an informal, two-sided project proposal to the EPC in advance. The internal deadline is 13 November 2015.

The Erasmus+ 2016 call for proposals has been published. Erasmus+ - the EU programme for education, vocational training, youth and sport 2014-2020 – is intended to support the aims of the European education agendas, which promote modernisation, internationalisation and the qualitative improvement of European universities, strengthen international skills and the personal development and employability of students, enhance the attractiveness of the EU as a location for studying and science, and contribute to the long-term development of higher education in the partner countries.
