Humboldt Research Awards
Each year, the Humboldt Foundation awards up to 100 Humboldt Research Awards to leading researchers living and working outside of Germany in recognition of their academic achievements.
Researchers working in any field from any country can be nominated for the Humboldt Research Award. The award especially welcomes nominations of qualified women working in academia. In addition, the award winners will be invited to conduct a research project of their choice at a research institution in Germany in collaboration with specialists. The award enables a total stay of between six months and a full year, which can be split into multiple stays. The prize money amounts to EUR 60,000.
Nominations for a Humboldt Research Award may be submitted by established researchers who work at a university or research institute in Germany.
