New digital strategy 2025 for Germany presented at the CeBIT
On March 14, the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Sigmar Gabriel introduced a new digital strategy 2025 for Germany at the CeBIT. Ten areas of action were identified to realize a digital Germany by 2025:
1. Provide gigabit fiber network for Germany by 2025
2. Establishing new entrepreneurial culture and cooperation opportunities for start-ups
3. Create a new regulatory framework for more investment and innovation
4. Driving forward the "Smart Networking" of infrastructure areas
5. Strengthening data security and develop a data sovereignty
6. Enable new business models for SMEs, Crafts and Services
7. Modernize production in Germany with Industry 4.0
8. Investing in research, development and innovation with regards to digital technologies
9. Realize digital education at all ages
10. Establish a Digital Agency as a competence center
