Structuring innovation and making it measurable
Innovation does not happen by chance. It is the result of a structured process that
ideas step by step to market readiness. The KTH Innovation Readiness Level (IRL)
offers a proven model for systematically evaluating the maturity of innovations and developing them further in a targeted manner.
We use the KTH IRL as a central control instrument in innovation management - from the early idea to successful implementation on the market.
The KTH Innovation Readiness Level (IRL) - an overview
The KTH Innovation Readiness Level was developed by the KTH - Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden and has since been used in hundreds of innovation and start-up projects at KTH and by many partners worldwide.
It is a maturity model that describes innovation projects along clearly defined development stages. It is based on the logic of the NASA Technology Readiness Level model and includes the following perspectives on an innovation project:
- Customers
- technology
- Business model
- Copyright laws
- team
- Financing
