This is where tomorrow's start-ups are born
Students and researchers from TU Dresden have been working on their business ideas in the former construction containers since the end of 2017. Using Institutional Strategy funds, the containers have now been given a fresh new look. "It is important to create the right infrastructure for a start-up-friendly environment at TU Dresden. As well as consultancy services, this also includes space for innovative ideas. The redesigned StartupCubes now make these services even more visible to all interested parties and visitors," explains Prof. Rödel.
Dr. Frank Pankotsch, head of dresden|exists, is also delighted about the increased visibility on the campus: "It is now obvious what they contain: innovative business ideas from TU Dresden! For all those seeking space to build a prototype, quietly program or work on their business model, the StartupCubes are just the right place!"
As well as free work space, founders will also have the opportunity to exchange ideas with like-minded people. Just a few doors away, for example, the Purapep team are working on a pet food supplement, Dronetecture on a novel drone and aesthel on an innovative wheelchair drive.
Do you have a business idea? Students and staff can apply for one of the six StartupCubes at the Auditorium Centre and in front of the Institutes of Biology until 28th February 2019. Simply email a brief description of your business idea to Marco Rösler. Further information is available at www.dresden-exists.de.
For 20 years, dresdenIexists has been the first point of contact for putting scientific ideas into practice.
