Zeno Kakuschke has always been interested in business models and start-ups. Both his Bachelor's and Master's theses dealt with these topics: On one hand, whether innovators, so-called "first movers", survive in the market, or rather the imitators; and on the other hand, how a financing round works from the perspective of a start-up.
While still a student, the Kakuschke founded a social start-up with like-minded people - with 60 euros in seed capital and no funding. The company has been growing for four years, and with it its mission to be "consistently plastic-free". With the start-up, the founders want to draw attention to the global plastic crisis by underscoring alternatives. "Plastic has its place," says Kakuschke, "but single-use packaging is irresponsible." For every product sold, they promise to eliminate 100 grams of plastic. Toward this end, they support a recycling system in southern India. The company's focus is now on natural cosmetics. They are constantly working on new NICAMA products. Future plans include the certification of products made in Dresden.
