‘Saxony has many creative and clever minds with entrepreneurial courage. With the futureSAX ideas competition we aim at making them visible’, states Martin Dulig, Saxon State Minister for Economic Affairs, Labour and Transport, and adds: ‘Our industrial diversity and the well-established research landscape are a very favourable environment for knowledge-based startups and new business models.’

The goal of the technologically and sectorally unrestricted competition is to support founders, startups and young companies in developing their ideas into a business concept and to find cooperation partners in business and science for the implementation of the concept.

Who can apply? Eligible to apply are teams of founders, individuals as well as already existing companies who have promising ideas for innovative products and services as well as for new processes and procedures. This however requires that the the company is located in Saxony, or that the Free State of Saxony is envisaged as a future location. In addition, all participants can apply for the futureSAX Audience Prize. The winners of the audience prize are selected through an online vote.

Founders forums in Leipzig, Dresden and Chemnitz are accompanying the competition phase.
