On 12 December 2018 the annual general meeting of Energy Saxony took place at the Leipzig Congress Centre, where the TU Dresden was represented by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thilo Bocklisch (Chair of Energy Storage Systems) and Kathleen Mehnert (Transfer Office).

In the Energy Saxony energy cluster, 68 players from science and industry are currently working to promote new cutting-edge technologies in the fields of energy technologies, electromobility and digitisation and to create an innovative energy system for the future. Also the TU Dresden belongs to the founding members of the Energy Cluster and was represented by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thilo Bocklisch in the board of Energy Saxony for the last two years. Due to the active participation in the board, objectives and strategic orientations could be shaped to a special degree. Together with Energy Saxony many project activities could be realized in 2018:

•  Collaboration in the project WindNODE by Prof. Dr. Möst, Professorship for Energy Economics
•  Support for the National 5G Energy Hub
•  Keynote speech by Prof. Dr. Schegner at the Energy Saxony Summit on 18.09.2018 "Digitisation in energy technology: "National 5G Energy Hub".
• -Presentation of the SERVING project by Prof. Schegner at the Smart-City-Workshop in Prague on 27.11.2018
•  Industry meeting energy and environmental technology of the Career Service of the TU Dresden

Further projects are also to be jointly organised in 2019.
