New Excellence Center for Innovation, Transfer and Entrepreneurship to be launched in September
Developed as part of the TUD Excellence program, the Center for Innovation, Transfer and Entrepreneurship “TUD|excite” will officially launch this coming September. The Center will pool all activities relating to intellectual property management, knowledge and technology transfer to innovative companies, and the TUD startup service dresden|exists. These will also be complemented by new innovation services and programs.
“In light of shorter innovation cycles, intensified competitiveness and limited resources, the time needed until market launch is increasingly becoming a decisive factor of success,” says TUD|excite Director Prof. Andreas Pinkwart. This is also true of topics related to sustainability, which must be addressed with a greater sense of urgency. The goal is to boost synergies, simplify processes and systematically expand the range of services for university members, corporate partners and startups. Innovation scouts and innovation managers will provide support to researchers and clusters in planning their projects and the subsequent exploitation, and they will enable quick and effective transfer.
The Center also offers qualification courses for promoting talented individuals in this area on both the university and the corporate sides. In the new Future Lab, the Center will focus on the latest international developments and methods in innovation and technology management on a scientific and experimental basis, demonstrating how these findings can be used by the Center.
On October 20, 2023, at 4:00 pm, the new Center will introduce its internal and external stakeholders at a large public event on campus. Detailed information will follow.
