Startup Sparks: Two robotics founders show how ideas are turned into the future
What does it actually mean to be a founder? Startup Sparks by dresden|exists will bring two young robotics founders into the lecture hall on December 10, 2025 to talk about exactly that - honestly, practically and with a great deal of enthusiasm for making things.
Jann Wawerek and Markus Vorrath will provide exciting insights into their start-up journey. The two talk about how an idea becomes a real startup, the challenges they had to overcome along the way and why starting up is anything but boring.
The speakers
- Jann Wawerek developed his own robotics projects back in his school days and is now CTO of Mana Robotics. The start-up is building the world's smallest autonomous cooking robot - with the aim of making fresh, smart cuisine available everywhere.
- Markus Vorrath heads a research group at the TUD Dresden and is CEO & Co-Founder of HandsOn Robotics. His team develops automation solutions for commercial kitchens that make processes more efficient and everyday life easier.
Whether you are already working on your own ideas or are simply curious: Startup Sparks offers inspiration, real insights and the opportunity to talk to two young founders and other startup enthusiasts.
The event starts at 17:00 in lecture hall E28 in the Andreas Schubert Building. Afterwards, the dresden|exists team invites you to a relaxed exchange in the New Work Space of the TUD|excite.
Make the future instead of doing the dishes - come to Startup Sparks and be inspired!
