On November 5, 2018, the Transfer Office was invited to a discussion round of the junior research group Knowledge and Technology Transfer led by Dr. Matthias Geissler. The event was attended by scientists and executives from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Can Tho University and the University of Hue. For the purpose of exchanging experiences, the participants stayed in Dresden between two and eight weeks within the framework of the VETEC project (Vietnamese-European Knowledge and Technology Transfer Education Consortium). The exchange was funded by Erasmus+. The Transfer Office presented its fields of activity and its range of services and answered numerous questions on industrial property rights, further training, industrial cooperation and copyrights. Under the leadership of Vice President Dr. Dinh van Phong (Hanoi University of Science and Technology), the guests from Vietnam pursue the goal of building up the capacities for successful technology transfer and expanding transfer activities at their universities.
