From bench to business – with LifeTechLab
Researchers and students may apply as a team until March 25, 2022 for the next round of LifeTechLab – an incubation program for life-science inspired business ideas. This could be anything from a practical use of your research discovery, a lab service, a new diagnostic tool or health app.
The incubation program supports participants to evolve the idea gradually into a solid business model. Experts from dresden|exists, industry, law and investment firms will teach the necessary knowhow and tools in one-day workshops and individual coaching sessions
Besides general topics every founder faces, LifeTechLab addresses specific issues, which are essentially for life science startups like intellectual property rights, cooperation contracts and regulatory affairs. Learning to sell your idea is another focus of the program. On pitch day with biotech entrepreneurs, founders and investors the teams will receive valuable feedback on their idea.
Dr. Jonas Schubert, LifeTechLab alumnus and cofounder of DermaPurge GmbH, summarizes his experience: “LifeTechLab was the perfect preparation for building our own life-science startup. It trained us to explain our idea clearly and helped to answer crucial business questions. We connected with other founders and above all had a lot of fun.”
LifeTechLab will be held in a digital format, but still with plenty of opportunity to interact and learn from each other. The program kicks off on April 5, 2022.
