From research to your own startup – take the first step with LifeTechLab
New therapeutics, medical devices and diagnostics, or digital health and AI applications – students and researchers in the life sciences have until February 28, 2026, to submit their innovative business ideas for the next round of LifeTechLab.
The LifeTechLab incubation program from TUD|excite (in association with dresden|exists) enables scientific teams to see their research results as innovative solutions and to build the foundation of a future startup in just two months. In workshops and individual coaching sessions, the teams turn their ideas into a business model, prepare a pitch deck, learn about financing options and lay out the next steps to protect their intellectual property, all along guided by our experienced startup managers and external professionals.
A special highlight: At the end of the program, the teams pitch their developed business models to founders and industry experts – valuable feedback included.
The entire program will be held in English.
What participants gain at LifeTechLab:
- Gain clarity – Understand the startup journey from idea to market.
- Refine your idea – Identify gaps and define the first steps to bring it to life.
- Know your customer – Shift perspective and tailor solutions to real needs.
- Navigate IP & regulations – Get expert advice on IP protection and regulatory requirements.
- Pitch with confidence – Learn how to convince and get opportunities to practice.
- Build your network – Connect with other teams, founders, investors, and experts, and receive valuable feedback.
Dr. Ekaterina Vorobevskaia, project leader of PepAntiAdapt at the B CUBE and participant in class 2-2025, reports: “Great support for early-stage startup teams in the life science and medical field. It was an extremely helpful experience for me for sure.”
