The nomination for the Stifterverband's Hochschulperle is an excellent recognition for a format that shows how we think about the future at TU Dresden: interdisciplinary, practical, and visionary.
Now we need your support to bring the "Hochschulperle 2025" to Dresden.

GA & ZEISS Foresight Challenge
The challenge was implemented from the Graduate Academy in cooperation with the ZEISS Innovation Hub Dresden and offers doctoral students and postdocs from all departments the opportunity to develop future scenarios for their research and to demonstrate the added value that scientific findings can bring to society in the coming decades.
The competition was aimed at young researchers from all departments - from STEM subjects and Business Administration and Economics to the social sciences and humanities. Participants acquired skills in strategic foresight, interdisciplinary collaboration, science communication, and knowledge transfer, among other things.
The five finalist teams - BioClean, CeLacta, MedLog, Microplastometry, and Octopus - have impressively demonstrated how scientific excellence can lead to concrete solutions for the social challenges of tomorrow.
Following the successful launch, another Foresight Challenge is already planned for the winter semester 2026/27 in cooperation with the ZEISS Innovation Hub Dresden.
Hochschulperle | Stifterverband
In 2025, the Stifterverband awarded prizes to projects that combine research and innovation and promote cooperation between science and industry. The "Hochschulperle des Monats "award makes exemplary projects nationwide visible to inspire other universities.
In October 2025, the Foresight Challenge received the "Hochschulperle of the Month".
"We recognize the GA & ZEISS Foresight Challenge of TU Dresden as an innovative format that combines scientific qualification, business practice, and future-oriented methods," said the jury of the Stifterverband in its statement.
