Open Educational Resources: Here to stay?
On Monday, November 11, 2024, from 19:00 to 21:00 in the Central Library of the SLUB (Zellescher Weg 18), we cordially invite you to the evening event as part of the annual conference of the cross-departmental joint project "virTUos - virtual teaching and learning at TU Dresden in an open source context".
The focus is on Open Educational Resources (OER) and Open Educational Practices (OEP), which are important aspects of modern digital and hybrid teaching. Their flexible and location-independent use as well as their free reusability offer great opportunities, but also challenges. Experts from politics, university administration and teaching will discuss the current status and perspectives of OER and OEP.
Program highlights:
- Welcome by Katrin Stump, Director General of the SLUB
- Greeting by Prof. Michael Kobel, Vice-Rector Academic Affairs of TU Dresden
- Keynote by Jöran Muuß-Merholz: "OER: Here to stay or made redundant by AI?"
- Panel discussion "Open Educational Resources: Here to stay?" with Nele Hirsch, Prof. Sebastian Zug and Friederike Fischer
- Conclusion and wine reception
Further information and the possibility to register can be found here.
Note: The event will also be streamed live on the SLUB YouTube channel.
