Election notice for the election of the Doctoral Council 2026

From 8 to 10 December 2026, the TU Dresden Doctoral Council will be elected to represent all doctoral candidates at TU Dresden. The elections are free, equal and secret on the basis of the TU Dresden election regulations of 27 September 2024 (published in the official announcements of the TUD No. 10/2024 of 07.10.2024, p.2) and according to the Election announcement from the Election Office .

All doctoral candidates accepted for doctoral studies at TU Dresden elect up to seventeen representatives from their ranks, who form the Doctoral Council and, if possible, broadly cover the spectrum of disciplines at TU Dresden.

All doctoral candidates who wish to run for the new Doctoral Council can submit a election proposal until 6 November 2026. Please use this form and submit it to the electoral office by email, in person or by post. From 6 to 13 November 2026, the electoral register will be available for inspection at the Election Officer’s office.

You can vote from December 8 to 10, 2026, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the ballot box in the Neue Mensa, Bergstr. 51, Small Hall.

However, you can also vote by post. The application form for postal voting is available in the TUD Self-Service Portal at https://selfservice.tu-dresden.de/services/postal-vote/votes/requests/. The deadline for applying for postal voting is November 16, 2026, if you request that the materials be mailed to you, and December 3, 2026, if you request to pick up the postal voting materials in person.
