Continuing education program in teaching and learning enhancement from now on at the ZiLL
From now on, the Center for Interdisciplinary Learning and Teaching (ZiLL) will be coordinating the continuing education program for teaching and learning enhancement at TU Dresden and will act as the first point of contact on the topic of teaching. This means that ZiLL will be taking over this task from the Center for Continuing Education. The courses will be created in cooperation with the Center for University Didactics in Saxony (Hochschuldidaktisches Zentrum Sachsen, HDS) and will cover a wide range of topics. Feel free to browse through the free courses, workshops and labs on the website of the HDS.
Contact persons for continuing education in teaching and learning enhancement at the TU Dresden are Michael Sommer and Tobias Weber from the newly founded team Teaching and Learning Enhancement in Higher Education. The two advisors also offer consultations, observation of teaching, coaching as well as qualitative teaching evaluations and provide didactic support in the development of curricula. All of these offers can be found on the newly designed ZiLL website.
Examples of questions that can be answered here:
- How can I teach my content in the space of just two hours per week?
- What impulses and questions can I use to motivate students to participate?
- Who can give me unbiased feedback on my teaching methods and materials?
- How can competence-guided examination methods be integrated into our degree program?
The team Teaching and Learning Enhancement in Higher Education looks forward to actively supporting your teaching at TU Dresden. Please feel free to contact Michale Sommer and Tobias Weber if you have any specific questions.
