Before publishing you have to write & cite. Citation management software helps to collect and organize citations from library catalogs and databases, generates bibliographies and formats footnotes in a multitude of styles. The course gives an overview about the various tools, like Zotero, Mendeley or Citavi,. We talk about possibilities and limits of reference management software and you get some hints to select the right tool. All citation managers carry out the same basic functions but specific features may vary from program to program. Note: The Citavi program currently runs on the MAC OS operating system only with additional software, not on Linux at all. WINDOWS users can use Citavi without restrictions. This workshop is offered in co-operation with the Sächsische Landes– und Universitätsbibliothek Dresden (SLUB). |
With your registration you are required to accept the terms and conditions for participation. |
