The media lab
The media laboratory of the Chair of Educational Technology in room MS1-327 is available for research (tests, experiments) as well as for media-oriented projects and media didactic seminars for vocational degree programs. Students can realize their own media projects here during lectures and tutor-supervised times and carry out their experiments in the context of scientific questions.

The room can also be used for media technology instruction in the sense of a seminar (max. 12 participants), but is primarily intended for work in small groups or individual work on media projects. You can use your own end devices or the available PC technology. The media can then be edited/finalized in the faculty's PC pool opposite (MS1-313).
Room design:
The workshop has flexible furniture (mobile tables and chairs) so that the room can be adapted to the needs of the respective media production with little effort. Various sound-absorbing curtains can also be used to acoustically and visually decouple the room and thus prepare it for different media productions.
Interactive media:
An interactive 4K board with integrated Windows PC is available for experiments and group-oriented developments, but can also be used for demonstrations (incl. mirroring) and presentations. A set of classic feedback devices and VR glasses (Pico 4) are available for further experiments.
Audio and video technology:
The workshop has audio and video technology (including stereoscopic and 360°) for the production of didactic media. This also includes stationary and portable lighting for the various applications. A mobile green screen is also available for special experiments and productions.
3D printing:
In a separate room, 3D printers from SparkLab are available with a PC workstation as well as all accessories, a wide variety of filaments and tools for post-processing and assembly.
Video conference:
Contact with external participants can be established synchronously from the seminars and exercises using appropriate conference technology (including 360°).
