Textbook: "Fundamentals of adult and continuing education research"
The new textbook by Maria Kondratjuk has been published by utb.
It offers students and doctoral candidates in particular, but also teachers and researchers in the field, a compact and systematic introduction to adult and continuing education research and provides comprehensive methodological tools. After an in-depth introduction to adult and continuing education research, an overview of exemplary research fields and approaches is provided. Basic definitions of terms are provided, the empirical research process is discussed and selected research methods and empirical approaches are introduced. Exemplary research projects in the form of annotated profiles provide an insight into specific research projects. Aspects of research pragmatics round off the introduction.

Adult education theory formation in the horizon of social transformation processes - reflections on Ortfried Schäffter's oeuvre
Malte Ebner von Eschenbach, Carolin Alexander, Mandy Schulze, Franz Schaller (eds.)
This book was published in its first edition on June 30, 2023 by wbv Publikation and contains a contribution by Maria Kondratjuk on the occasion of Ottfried Schäfffter's 80th birthday.
Ortfried Schäffter's figures of thought are firmly anchored in a social-theoretical horizon of social transformation and can be structured along five central work and core research areas. These are approaches to a social theory of lifelong learning, work on an organizational theory of adult education, studies of cultural difference, scientific theoretical contexts and their significance for adult education, and contributions to a theory of relationality.

"Transdisciplinarity in educational research - perspectives and challenges of theoretical, method(olog)ical and empirical border crossings"
Maria Kondratjuk is co-editor of this volume, which is published by Springer.
The volume discusses the implications of transdisciplinarity for educational research and highlights the boundaries and border crossings it entails. It reflects on current issues and problems that arise in view of the heterogeneous perspectives on transdisciplinarity in educational science disciplines. The focus is on theoretical, method(olog)ical and empirical border crossings, which go hand in hand with an integration into specific specialist disciplines and the associated scientific-theoretical positions as well as the need to look 'beyond the horizon'. The aim is to identify and illustrate references, borrowings and points of contact, blurrings, irritations, prerequisites and challenges for transdisciplinary educational research.
