Art lab (KunstLabor)

The Art lab serves as a teaching-learning format for testing a new type of art pedagogy tailored to primary schools. With its concept, it combines a studio - as a place for artistic experimentation - and a learning laboratory - as a space for a variety of open educational offers - thus creating an innovative perspective for teaching and learning in the subject Arts.

In the Open Art lab, ideas for a new kind of art didactics can be examined in a more interdisciplinary way. The open setting offers the opportunity to pursue individual questions in an aesthetic and explorative process, and to test experimental educational concepts among students in a self-organised environment. This advanced format of the Art lab thus serves as a forum for student exchange and reflection processes.

The KunstLabor is located in the rooms WEB K 014 and K 011 in the building of the Faculty of Education at Weberplatz 5.
