In teacher training, the specifics of the primary school are of particular importance. They result both from the educational mandate for fundamental education and from the fact that the primary school is the first school of the educational system for all children.

The Chair
The focal areas of research and teaching at the Chair of Eduation / Primary Education are the development of school and teaching, the shaping of transitions and of the start of school, pedagogical diagnostics, and the heterogeneity of pupils.
In this respect, we pay particular attention to explorative learning. Various facilities such as the learning and research laboratory are designed to support the combination of theory, empiricism, and practical teaching reflection.
